To SIG CCT Members,
During our SIG: Chaos & Complexity Theories Business Meeting, we had the privilege of meeting the founders of a new movement: Edu4: 4 Children, 4 the Public, 4 Social Justice, 4 the Future. They have recruited over 130 scholars in more than 8 countries to begin an initiative of presenting the general public with educators’ perspectives about issues related to teaching and policies. The intent is to disseminate information through such venues as publishing OpEd pieces in major magazines (like NY Times), producing videos to be posted on YouTube, and dispensing information on social networking sites. They wish to widen the group’s membership both in occupation and in nationality.
